ZEN246 Front End Developer

Introduction

Our client is seeking an experienced Front End Developer to develop high-performing, scalable web applications within a banking and financial-services environment. The successful candidate will contribute to large-scale digital applications, shared packages and design systems while maintaining strong architectural standards, code quality and engineering best practices. The role requires close collaboration with back-end developers, designers and the wider engineering team to deliver secure, well-architected and high-quality front-end solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop high-performing and scalable front-end applications.

• Develop and enhance features across large-scale web applications.

• Build and maintain shared packages that support reusable functionality across applications.

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and reusable front-end components.

• Uphold established architectural standards across front-end development.

• Maintain code-quality benchmarks and promote development best practices across the engineering team.

• Collaborate closely with back-end developers to ensure effective integration between front-end and back-end solutions.

• Work cooperatively with designers and the wider team throughout the development and delivery process.

• Deliver well-architected, maintainable and high-quality front-end solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated proficiency in modern web frameworks.

• Strong hands-on development experience using TypeScript.

• Strong hands-on development experience using React.

• Strong experience with CSS preprocessors.

• Strong knowledge and practical application of modern web standards.

• Demonstrated proficiency in modern web frameworks.

• Experience working on large-scale web applications.

• Experience working with shared packages and design systems.

• Strong understanding of front-end architecture and code-quality standards.

• Strong knowledge of modern front-end software engineering best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance or a related field.
