The most cited reason job-seekers stop applying isn't skill or experience — it's friction. The average online application form takes 12–20 minutes. Multiply that across forty target roles a week and the math becomes a second full-time job.

The cost curves just bent.

AI cover-letter generation now costs cents per submission, not dollars. Scraping infrastructure is mature and cheap. South Africa is mobile-first with high data costs, so a low-monthly-fee web product beats native apps and recruiter-mediated workflows.
