ZEN204 - C# Back End Developer

Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced C# Back End Developer to join a dynamic enterprise development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining scalable backend applications using C# and .NET technologies. The role focuses on delivering high-quality software solutions, collaborating across multiple product teams, implementing CI/CD best practices, and contributing to cloud-based and on-premises enterprise environments. The successful candidate will take ownership of technical design, code quality, automated testing and backend optimisation while working within Agile delivery teams to deliver secure, reliable and highperforming solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust backend applications using C# and .NET technologies.

• Participate in technical design and architecture discussions for new features and system enhancements.

• Develop and support integrations across multiple products and enterprise applications.

• Develop and maintain Docker containers and YAML deployment configurations.

• Ensure high code quality through peer code reviews, automated testing and continuous integration practices.

• Optimise database performance through efficient query design and database tuning.

• Develop solutions for cloud and on-premises environments, with exposure to Microsoft Azure.

• Work collaboratively within Agile Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software.

• Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions.

• Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing and mentoring within the development team.

• Promote continuous improvement, innovation and engineering best practices.

Technical Skills

• 5+ years' experience in C# and .NET Development.

• Strong C# and .NET development skills are mandatory.

• Experience designing technical solutions and software components.

• Experience integrating multiple applications and enterprise systems.

• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines is mandatory.

• Hands-on experience with Docker and YAML configuration files is mandatory.

• Experience working with Microsoft Azure and/or on-premises environments.

• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies is mandatory.

• Experience performing code reviews, automated testing and maintaining high test coverage.

• Strong database development, optimisation and performance tuning experience.

• Experience with DevOps practices and continuous delivery is mandatory.

• Cloud experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is mandatory.

• Leadership, mentoring and knowledge-sharing experience will be advantageous.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver innovative technical solutions.
