ZEN182 - Compass Interface Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Compass Interface Developer to support the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of integrations between Compass and internal/external enterprise systems. The successful candidate will analyse integration requirements, develop and support interfaces, batch processing solutions, and API integrations, while ensuring data integrity, performance, and operational stability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interfaces between Compass and internal/external systems.

• Analyse integration requirements and produce detailed interface specifications.

• Develop and support batch processing, data exchange, and real-time integrations.

• Ensure data integrity, validation, reconciliation, and auditability across all interfaces.

• Troubleshoot and resolve interface-related production incidents and batch failures.

• Collaborate with business, configuration, architecture, and technical teams to deliver end-to-end integration solutions.

• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, governance, and compliance standards.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release management activities.

• Maintain interface documentation, data flow diagrams, and technical design artefacts.

• Support performance tuning and optimisation of integration components.

• Participate in testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Experience with COBOL development is mandatory.

• 5+ years of interface development and systems integration experience.

• Experience working with Compass platform integrations is advantageous.

• Experience developing and supporting batch processing solutions.

• Experience building and supporting API-based integrations.

• Experience with data validation, reconciliation, and data quality controls.

• Experience within Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or enterprise environments preferred.

• Experience supporting production environments and resolving integration incidents.

• Contract: 12 Months Renewable

• Location: Braamfontein, Johannesburg

• Work Mode: Hybrid-3 Days Per Week Onsite
