- As a Workshop Manager in the Western Cape Region, you will oversee the operations and efficiency of workshop activities, ensuring high-quality service delivery and operational excellence.
- Your primary focus will be on managing daily workshop activities, leading a team of technicians, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate daily workshop operations, including staff allocation and resource management.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality repairs and maintenance services to meet customer expectations.
- Develop and enforce health and safety protocols to safeguard staff and clients.
- Monitor workshop performance metrics and implement strategies for continual improvement.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels of parts and tools are maintained.
- Provide leadership, training, and support to workshop staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints, providing resolutions in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
- Proven track record in workshop management or a similar role within the automotive or mechanical repair industry.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in maintenance and repair processes.
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices relevant to workshop environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with a customer-focused attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- A relevant diploma or qualification in automotive technology, engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a workshop setting.
- Familiarity with industry software and tools for workshop management.
- Additional certifications related to automotive repair or management are advantageous.
