Job Title: Workshop Manager / Motor Vehicle Technician Start Date: 2026-08-06 - 2026-09-05 Vacancy Type: Permanent Tal000493 Sectors: Construction Location: Western Cape , George Salary: (Negotiable) Brief: construction equipment technic|electrical|engineering|george|motor vehicle technician|worshop manager Our client, a well-established business in George, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Workshop Manager / Motor Vehicle Technician to oversee the daily operations of their workshop while actively participating in the diagnosis, servicing and repair of construction equipment, vehicles and mechanical machinery. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with strong leadership abilities and a passion for maintaining high workshop standards. Detail: Description: Manage the day-to-day operations of the workshop. Supervise and lead workshop technicians and support staff. Plan, allocate and monitor workshop jobs to ensure efficient workflow. Diagnose, service and repair construction equipment (petrol and electric), motor vehicles and mechanical machinery. Perform preventative maintenance and fault-finding on equipment. Ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Maintain workshop productivity and minimise equipment downtime. Order and manage workshop parts, tools and consumables. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain accurate service records and workshop documentation. Requirements: Minimum 10 years' experience repairing and maintaining: Construction equipment (petrol and electric) Motor vehicles Mechanical machinery Previous Workshop Management experience is essential. Relevant trade qualification or mechanical certification. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities. Computer literacy with: Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word Microsoft Outlook / Email Excellent organisational and leadership skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
