Start free — we apply for you →- Are you an experienced Workshop Manager with a strong mechanical background and the ability to lead a team? My client has an opportunity for a hands-on professional to oversee workshop operations, fleet maintenance and infrastructure in a safari lodge environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the vehicle and plant fleet.
- Oversee vehicle inspections, servicing, repairs and quality control.
- Ensure generators and essential infrastructure are properly maintained.
- Manage workshop stock, spare parts, budgets and supplier invoices.
- Maintain accurate records, vehicle files and monthly reporting.
- Lead, motivate and develop workshop staff.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
- Drive operational efficiency and responsible waste management.
Minimum Requirements
- 3–5 years' management experience in a similar operation.
- Relevant vehicle mechanics experience and qualifications.
- Strong fleet maintenance and workshop management skills.
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Valid, unendorsed South African driver's licence and PDP.
- This is a permanent, live-in position. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own transport to and from leave cycles.
