Job Summary

  • Assist mechanics with vehicle and equipment repairs.
  • Carry out basic servicing tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
  • Clean, inspect, and prepare vehicles or equipment before and after repairs.
  • Assist with diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults under supervision.
  • Remove and install components as directed by senior mechanics.
  • Operate workshop tools and equipment safely and correctly.
  • Keep the workshop clean, organized, and free from hazards.
  • Maintain and care for tools, equipment, and workshop facilities.
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Complete job cards and basic workshop documentation accurately.
  • Assist with stock control by collecting, storing, and organizing parts and consumables.
  • Report any safety hazards, damaged equipment, or incidents to the workshop manager.
  • Work collaboratively with mechanics, supervisors, and other workshop staff.
  • Perform any other reasonable workshop-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • 1 Year of workshop experience.
  • Minimum qualification: Matric.
  • Driver's licence requirement: Code 8.
