- Assist mechanics with vehicle and equipment repairs.
- Carry out basic servicing tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
- Clean, inspect, and prepare vehicles or equipment before and after repairs.
- Assist with diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults under supervision.
- Remove and install components as directed by senior mechanics.
- Operate workshop tools and equipment safely and correctly.
- Keep the workshop clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Maintain and care for tools, equipment, and workshop facilities.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Complete job cards and basic workshop documentation accurately.
- Assist with stock control by collecting, storing, and organizing parts and consumables.
- Report any safety hazards, damaged equipment, or incidents to the workshop manager.
- Work collaboratively with mechanics, supervisors, and other workshop staff.
- Perform any other reasonable workshop-related duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- 1 Year of workshop experience.
- Minimum qualification: Matric.
- Driver's licence requirement: Code 8.
