This position exists to support the effective management and optimisation of working capital across Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable by analysing debtor and creditor ageing, payment behaviour, payment terms, cash conversion cycle trends and related risk exposures. REQUIREMENTS Reporting Prepare accurate, timely and insight-driven reports on debtors and creditors ageing, working capital movements, cash conversion cycle trends, overdue balances and payment performance. Develop dashboards, exception reports and trend analysis to support proactive decision-making, forecast cash flow impacts and identify opportunities for process improvement. Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Provide strategic support to senior finance leadership by translating working capital insights into actionable recommendations that inform cash flow planning, risk management, operational decision-making and continuous improvement priorities. Governance Maintain and enhance applicable finance policies, procedures and control frameworks to ensure compliance with IFRS, the Companies Act, tax legislation, VAT requirements and relevant internal governance standards. Monitor legislative, regulatory and accounting standard changes, assess operational impact and recommend practical implementation actions. Embed strong governance, segregation of duties, audit trails and approval controls across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and related finance processes. Prepare and coordinate audit-ready evidence, reconciliations, working papers and responses for external, internal and other assurance reviews. Partner with stakeholders to resolve control weaknesses, track remediation actions and improve compliance maturity. Management Lead and manage the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams to deliver accurate, efficient and customer-focused transactional shared services. Set clear performance expectations, monitor service delivery against agreed KPIs and SLAs, and drive continuous improvement in quality, turnaround times and stakeholder experience. Build team capability through coaching, training, knowledge sharing, succession planning and adoption of digital finance tools. Support recruitment, onboarding and performance management processes to ensure appropriate skills, capacity and accountability within the team. Promote a culture of ownership, collaboration, compliance, data-driven decision-making and service excellence. Transactional Shared Services Oversee end-to-end Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, including customer and supplier invoice processing, intercompany invoicing, credit notes, allocations, reconciliations, supplier payments, collections support and query resolution. Review and approve key transactions, reconciliations and exception items in line with delegated authority, internal controls and escalation protocols. Maintain accurate debtor and creditor records and ensure timely processing to support reliable reporting, disciplined collections and supplier payment management. Analyse payment terms, ageing profiles, overdue balances, dispute trends and supplier/customer behaviour to improve working capital outcomes and reduce risk exposure. Identify, implement and monitor process improvements, automation opportunities and system enhancements that reduce manual effort, improve accuracy and strengthen controls. Track and resolve debtor, creditor and interdepartmental issues through structured issue logs, root-cause analysis and agreed turnaround times. Provide input into budgeting, forecasting and monthly variance analysis relating to working capital, collections and supplier payments. Provide finance process guidance, technical accounting support and practical recommendations to internal stakeholders. Provide transactional support to RSA, Africa, LATAM and other jurisdictions where applicable.
