As a Welder Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in various welding tasks and ensuring a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities Workspace Preparation: Clear the area of hazards, set up scaffolding or ladders, and arrange safety shields. Material Handling: Measure, load, unload, and cut metal pieces using grinders, torches, or saws. Weld Finishing: Remove slag, grind beads, and brush or polish welded surfaces to clean impurities. Equipment Maintenance: Clean, inspect, and organize welding rigs, cables, and gas cylinders. On-Site Support: Hand tools and materials to the lead welder and help position or clamp workpieces.
