Weighbridge clerk

Introduction

We are looking for a Weighbridge Clerk to join our Material Recovery Facility (MRF). The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately capturing and recording incoming and outgoing material, maintaining weighbridge records, processing documentation, and ensuring that all information is accurately captured into company systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately capture and record all incoming and outgoing loads.

• Enter vehicle, driver, supplier/customer and material information into the relevant system.

• Record and verify weights and ensure all weighbridge transactions are completed accurately.

• Verify that all captured information matches supporting documentation.

• Generate, issue and process weighbridge tickets and related documentation.

• Maintain accurate electronic and physical records.

• Identify and report discrepancies, variances or incorrect information to the relevant supervisor.

• Maintain complete and accurate records of all material movements through the MRF.

• Ensure all transactions are captured accurately and within required timeframes.

• Communicate professionally with drivers, suppliers, customers and operational personnel.

• Follow company procedures relating to weighbridge operations, health and safety, security and access control.

• Provide administrative support related to weighbridge operations, reporting and record management.

• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling company and customer information.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

Essential

• Matric / Grade 12.

• Minimum 2 years' experience in data capturing, administration, logistics administration, inventory administration, ERP transaction processing, database administration, or a similar role.

• Strong computer literacy.

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.

• Experience capturing high volumes of data accurately.

• Experience working with ERP, database, logistics, inventory or transaction-processing systems.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good numerical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.

• Ability to work under pressure in a busy operational environment.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.

Advantageous

• Previous weighbridge experience.

• Experience within recycling, waste management, logistics, manufacturing, transport or industrial operations.

• Experience with inventory control systems.

• Exposure to Acumatica, SAP, Sage, Syspro or similar ERP systems.

• Understanding of stock movements, dispatch documentation, delivery documentation or transport administration.

Package & Remuneration

R 8 000 ( CTC)

Provident Fund at 11.94% of CTC
