We are looking for a talented and motivated Web Developer.
Duties & Responsibilities
- 3 - 4 years working experience
- Develop and maintain responsive websites and web applications.
- Convert website designs and mockups into functional web pages.
- Write clean, maintainable and well-structured code.
- Make website updates and content changes as required.
- Assist with developing new website features and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website bugs and technical issues.
- Test websites across different browsers and devices.
- Assist with website speed and performance optimisation.
- Work with databases and perform basic database queries.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs where required.
- Assist with e-commerce website development and maintenance.
- Work with CMS platforms such as WordPress where required.
- Assist with CodeIgniter 4 and other PHP-based projects.
- Maintain and update existing client websites.
- Follow basic SEO, security and web development best practices.
- Work closely with designers, senior developers and project managers.
Keep up to date with modern web development technologies and practices.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Relevant Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development or a related field OR demonstrable practical web development experience.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP.
- Basic understanding of MySQL.
- Knowledge of responsive web design.
- Good computer literacy.
- A portfolio, GitHub account or examples of previous projects would be advantageous.
Frontend
- HTML5

- Bootstrap or similar CSS frameworks
Backend
- PHP
- Basic MVC concepts
- CodeIgniter 4 would be advantageous
Database
- MySQL
- Basic SQL queries
Other
- Git / version control

- Basic understanding of DNS, hosting and web servers
- Basic understanding of website security
- Browser developer tools
