Web Developer (12-Month Contract)

Introduction

We are seeking Web Developers to join an IT team on a 12-month contract based in Gauteng . The successful candidates will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting websites and web applications, ensuring they are secure, responsive, user-friendly, and aligned with business requirements. This is a fully onsite position.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy web applications and websites that meet business requirements, functionality, and usability standards.

• Maintain existing websites and web applications by resolving bugs and applying updates.

• Ensure the continuous availability of websites and web applications.

• Monitor and improve website speed, responsiveness, and overall performance through optimisation techniques.

• Develop and maintain integrations between web applications and enterprise systems using APIs and web services.

• Perform unit testing and system testing.

• Identify and resolve application bugs.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) prior to deployment.

• Ensure websites and web applications remain secure, responsive, and user-friendly.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Group Executive of Digital Transformation and Innovation.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Professional experience in web development .

• Experience designing, developing, and deploying websites and web applications.

• Experience maintaining and supporting existing websites and web applications.

• Experience with website and application performance optimisation.

• Experience developing and maintaining integrations using APIs and web services .

• Experience with unit testing, system testing, bug fixing, and supporting UAT.

• Experience working with enterprise system integrations.

• Ability to develop secure, responsive, and user-friendly web solutions.
