Warehouse Supervisor

Our client is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations within a fast-paced commodities environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating warehouse activities, supervising the packing team, maintaining stock accuracy and ensuring efficient operations from receiving through to dispatch. Duties & Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 + Relevant tertiary qualification

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehouse operations, inventory control and team supervision

• Strong computer literacy and experience working with stock and warehouse management systems

• Sound understanding of receiving, storage, stock control and dispatch processes

• Experience within the fresh produce, agricultural, FMCG or commodities environment preferred

• Strong leadership and people management skills

• Hands-on approach with the ability to actively support operational requirements

• Strong organisational and planning abilities

• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities

• Oversee the receiving and handling of inbound raw materials

• Supervise packing operations and provide daily direction to the warehouse and packing team

• Ensure products are packed according to quality and operational requirements

• Coordinate and oversee the dispatch of finished products

• Maintain accurate stock control and inventory records

• Conduct regular stock checks and investigate stock variances

• Ensure warehouse housekeeping, organisation and operational standards are maintained

• Monitor workflow and allocate resources to achieve operational targets

• Train, support and manage warehouse staff to ensure safe and efficient operations

• Ensure compliance with company procedures, health and safety requirements and warehouse controls

• Assist operationally where required to ensure the successful execution of warehouse activities
