Introduction

Duroplastic George is seeking an experienced and hands-on  Warehouse Supervisor  to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse and dispatch function. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the storage, handling inventory control, and distribution of polycarbonate and metal roof sheeting products and coils ensuring efficient operations, accurate stock control, and excellent customer service.

This role requires a proactive leader who can supervise warehouse staff, maintain high safety standards, and ensure customer orders are prepared and dispatched accurately and on time.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock control through regular cycle counts and stocktakes.
  • Oversee the safe handling and storage of polycarbonate sheets, metal roof sheets, flashings, and related roofing products.
  • Ensure customer orders are accurately prepared and dispatched according to delivery schedules.
  • Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff to achieve operational targets and maintain productivity.
  • Monitor loading and offloading activities to ensure product quality and minimize damage.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Enforce health and safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and operational issues.
  • Coordinate with sales, procurement, production, and transport teams to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor warehouse equipment and arrange maintenance when required.
  • Prepare and submit warehouse reports, stock reports, and operational updates to management.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
  • Experience within the roofing, steel, building materials, manufacturing, or construction industry will be highly advantageous.
  • Strong inventory management and stock control experience.
  • Experience supervising and managing warehouse staff.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
  • Valid driver's licence.
