Brito’s is seeking a highly organised, detail-driven and hands-on Pick Store Manager to take full operational control of our Pick Store within the Superfreeze Cold Store division.
This role is critical to ensuring accurate daily picking, effective stock control, and seamless coordination between Telesales, Dispatch, Inventory and Production. The successful candidate will be responsible for both the administrative and stock control functions of the Pick Store.
Duties & Responsibilities
Pick Store Operations & Administration
Full control of the Pick Store Admin Office
Ensure all Picking Slips and GI’s are completed accurately and timeously
Prioritise picking according to Dispatch route schedules
Oversee filing and document control
Manage special orders from start to completion
Investigate and manage customer claims, ensuring correct documentation and sign-off
Stock Control & Inventory Management
Maintain sufficient stock levels in Pick Store locations
Ensure proper stock rotation and stock integrity
Oversee cycle counts and variance investigations
Investigate stock discrepancies and provide feedback
Ensure accurate stock transfers and correct issuing of stock
Work closely with Inventory to resolve stock queries
Ensure accountability where incorrect stock issues occur
Systems & Technical Knowledge
Working knowledge of the Macro system
Booking in of stock
Processing Picking Slips, GI’s and XR’s
Amendments prior to GI processing
Strong MS Office skills
Ensure stock accuracy and system integrity
Internal Liaison
Daily engagement with
Telesales (orders, delays, stock queries)
Dispatch (daily loading priorities)
Inventory and Stock Department
Production facilities (Parow & Brackengate)
Cold Store Manager (daily operational feedback)
Professional handling of internal and external queries
Occupational Health & Safety
Promote and maintain a safe working environment
Ensure compliance with OHS standards and procedures
Desired Experience & Qualification
Grade 12
Valid driver’s licence
Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in stock control / warehouse / cold store environment
Fine picking experience will be beneficial
Strong leadership and organisational ability
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Professional, accountable and solution-driven mindset
