DBN000354 - Warehouse Operator - Shakas Head
Purpose of the Job
To safely and efficiently manage warehouse stock and operations.
Required Qualifications
- Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in warehouse, stores, logistics, or manufacturing is advantageous.
- Must have a valid reach truck operator licence/certification relevant.
- Must remain medically fit and authorised to operate material-handling equipment where required.
Duties & Responsibilities
Technical Competencies & Experience
- Receive, inspect, verify, label and safely store incoming stock in the correct warehouse locations.
- Pick and issue stock according to production, dispatch or transfer requirements, applying FIFO/FEFO.
- Conduct stock counts and stock takes, maintain accurate inventory records, and report and assist in resolving variances.
- Safely operate reach trucks and authorised material-handling equipment, including pre-use inspections and safe movement of stock.
- Protect stock from damage, contamination or loss, report non-conforming stock and comply with warehouse, health and safety, and audit requirements.
