We are seeking a strong leader with proven warehouse management experience within the medical, pharmaceutical, healthcare or medical supplies industry.
Senior Warehouse Manager
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse
- Manage, lead and motivate the warehouse team
• Plan and coordinate receiving, picking, packing, dispatching and stock movement
- Ensure accurate inventory management and stock control
- Monitor stock levels and investigate stock variances
- Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts
- Ensure correct storage, handling and identification of medical products
• Ensure products are stored according to required specifications and procedures
- Monitor expiry dates, batch numbers and lot numbers
- Implement and maintain effective warehouse procedures and controls
- Ensure orders are picked, checked and dispatched accurately and timeously
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries
• Work closely with Procurement, Sales, Logistics, Quality and Finance departments
- Ensure all warehouse documentation is accurately completed and maintained
- Monitor warehouse performance and productivity
- Identify operational challenges and implement corrective actions
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, organised and compliant with health and safety requirements
- Manage warehouse equipment and report maintenance requirements
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and applicable industry requirements
- Assist with audits and ensure all warehouse records are readily available
- Investigate discrepancies, damages, losses and stock-related queries
- Prepare warehouse reports and provide regular feedback to management
REQUIREMENTS
• Grade 12 / Matric – essential
• Relevant qualification in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations will be advantageous
- Minimum 5 years’ warehouse management experience
- Medical / pharmaceutical / healthcare industry experience is essential
- Proven experience managing and supervising warehouse staff
- Strong knowledge of stock control and inventory management
- Experience with batch numbers, lot numbers and expiry-date management
- Strong understanding of receiving, picking, packing and dispatch processes
- Good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety requirements
- Excellent computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Valid driver’s licence will be advantageous
