We are seeking an experienced, organised and hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and distribution facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of nutritional supplements and related products. This role requires strong leadership, excellent stock-control skills and the ability to maintain an efficient, clean and well-organised warehouse environment.

The Warehouse Manager will be accountable for inventory accuracy, staff productivity, order fulfilment, warehouse organisation and operational efficiency .

Duties & Responsibilities

Role Objective

The primary objective of the Warehouse Manager is to ensure that the right stock is in the right place, in the right quantity, and that every order leaves the warehouse accurately and on time , while maintaining excellent inventory control, staff productivity and warehouse standards.

Warehouse Operations

  • Manage the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.
  • Ensure customer and retail orders are picked and dispatched accurately and on time.
  • Plan daily workloads and allocate responsibilities to warehouse staff.
  • Maintain an organised warehouse layout to maximise efficiency and available storage space.
  • Ensure products are stored correctly according to SKU, batch and expiry date.
  • Implement and maintain FIFO/FEFO (First Expired, First Out) stock rotation procedures.
  • Ensure damaged, expired, returned or quarantined stock is clearly identified and correctly separated.

Inventory & Stock Control

  • Maintain accurate inventory records across all warehouse locations.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and scheduled stocktakes.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
  • Monitor stock movements between receiving, storage, picking and dispatch areas.
  • Ensure all incoming and outgoing stock is correctly captured on the relevant systems.
  • Maintain accurate batch and expiry-date records where required.
  • Work closely with purchasing, production, sales and finance teams to resolve inventory issues.
  • Reduce stock losses, damages, picking errors and inventory variances.

Receiving

  • Oversee the receiving and checking of incoming stock.
  • Verify quantities received against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
  • Ensure products are inspected for damage, incorrect quantities or other discrepancies.
  • Ensure stock is correctly labelled, captured and allocated to the appropriate warehouse location.
  • Escalate supplier discrepancies promptly.

Picking, Packing & Dispatch

  • Ensure orders are picked accurately according to invoices, picking slips or system-generated orders.
  • Maintain high standards of packing and presentation.
  • Ensure courier collections and deliveries are prepared according to scheduled cut-off times.
  • Monitor picking and packing accuracy and investigate recurring errors.
  • Coordinate dispatches to e-commerce customers, retailers, distributors and other sales channels.
  • Ensure all dispatch documentation is complete and accurate.

Team Management

  • Manage, supervise and motivate warehouse staff.
  • Allocate daily duties and monitor individual and team productivity.
  • Train staff on warehouse procedures, stock handling, health and safety and company policies.
  • Maintain staff attendance and ensure employees follow clock-in/clock-out procedures.
  • Address poor performance, misconduct and operational issues in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels during busy periods.

Warehouse Standards, Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain a clean, organised and professional warehouse environment at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs and applicable health and safety requirements.
  • Ensure nutritional products are handled and stored appropriately.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure restricted, returned, damaged or quarantined stock is controlled appropriately.
  • Identify operational risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist with internal and external audits where required.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Minimum 3–5 years' warehouse experience , preferably in a supervisory or management position.
  • Experience managing warehouse staff and daily operational workflows.
  • Strong inventory and stock-control experience.
  • Experience with warehouse management, ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with e-commerce, FMCG, pharmaceutical, health, nutritional supplement or retail distribution environments would be advantageous.
  • Experience managing batch-controlled and expiry-dated products would be highly advantageous.
  • Relevant qualification in logistics, supply chain, warehousing or operations management would be advantageous.

Package & Remuneration

15000-25000 depending on capacity , performance , experience and qualifications
