A well-established business is seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to take responsibility for the efficient day-to-day management of its warehouse operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for stock control, receiving and dispatch, warehouse administration, staff supervision and ensuring that accurate inventory records are maintained at all times.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is an essential requirement for this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse
- Oversee receiving, checking, storage, picking and dispatch of stock
- Maintain accurate inventory and stock records
- Manage all warehouse and inventory transactions on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Ensure stock movements are accurately captured on the system
- Conduct and oversee regular stock counts and cycle counts
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
- Monitor stock levels and assist with replenishment requirements
- Ensure orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries
- Maintain effective warehouse layout and stock location controls
- Supervise and manage warehouse employees
- Allocate daily duties and monitor staff productivity
- Implement and maintain effective warehouse procedures and controls
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping and organisation
- Ensure compliance with company health and safety requirements
- Liaise with management, sales, purchasing and other departments
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and stock accuracy
- Prepare relevant warehouse, stock and operational reports
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager / Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar senior warehouse position
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience ESSENTIAL
- Strong inventory and stock control experience
- Experience managing receiving, warehousing and dispatch functions
- Previous experience supervising and managing warehouse staff
- Good understanding of warehouse processes and procedures
- Strong computer and systems skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent numerical ability and attention to detail
- Ability to investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
