To plan, direct, and coordinate daily warehousing operations as per the operational strategy by providing strong leadership and day-to-day management over various departments and across different shifts .
Key Performance Areas
To lead a team of managers and employees providing logistical services in a warehouse environment.
To regularly interact with the client to review key performance indicators and maintenance of the quality management system .
To drive optimal productivity and goal achievement and to determine opportunities for cost reduction and general improvement.
To establish and implement departmental goals, objectives , and procedures in consultation with General Manager and client.
To manage required Employee Relations initiatives and processes to ensure a stable work environment and a healthy organizational culture.
To maintain discipline and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
To encourage and increase adhe r ence to company values .
Qualification Required
- Bachelor's degree / NQF level 7
Skills and Experience Required
Up to 8 years’ experience in a manufacturing/ logistics /engineering environment of which 3 years should have been at a management/supervisory level .
Advance experience in Microsoft for example Excel, Power Point and Word
Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Personnel and Human Resources - Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labour relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Public Safety and Security - Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
