The Opportunity

This key position puts you in charge of daily floor operations at a new facility. You will lead the warehouse team and work with logistics to maintain fast stock dispatches. Use your hands-on stores experience to grow your career in a well-managed industrial environment.

Job Description

• Supervise warehouse floor teams, stock pickers, packers, and forklift operators every day.

• Manage the receiving, safety checks, and binning of incoming tools, machinery, and consumables.

• Oversee accurate order picking and packing for direct branch transfers and customer dispatches.

• Conduct routine inventory cycle counts and regular stock audits to prevent stock discrepancies.

• Enforce stock rotation rules and ensure high-value technical equipment is stored safely.

• Keep staging areas organized for smooth handover to the logistics and transport team.

• Maintain a tidy warehouse floor and enforce daily health and safety procedures.

What You Need to Apply

• Proven background supervising staff in a busy distribution warehouse or engineering store environment.

• Practical experience handling technical hardware, welding supplies, machinery, or industrial tools.

• Working knowledge of computer-based inventory systems, warehouse management software, or ERP platforms.

• Solid understanding of stocktaking, binning systems, cycle counts, and stock control practices.

• Strong knowledge of warehouse health and safety rules, load stacking, and forklift operations.

• Good communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a warehouse team.

• A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and strong team-player values.
