Duties & Responsibilities
Our client is a macadamia processing business based in Hazyview. They are seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse operations, personnel management, inventory control, and product flow across drying, storage, sorting and further processing facilities. This is a hands-on operational leadership role reporting to the General Manager. Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for all warehouse processes.
- Manage warehouse personnel day-to-day, including shift scheduling and effective staff supervision.
- Oversee the complete drying process and quality control across all stages.
- Manage all warehouse receipts, including weighing, documentation, sampling and initial quality checks.
- Optimise product flow between drying rooms, storage areas, sorting and further processing departments.
- Monitor and manage inventory across all storage facilities and intermediate processes.
- Ensure safety standards and risk management are maintained at all times.
- Produce daily, weekly and monthly operational reports for the General Manager.
Requirements
- Experience in warehouse, production or processing management.
- Experience in planning and reporting of multiple processing operations.
- Experience in staff leadership and team management.
- Excellent MS Office and computer skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong planning, administrative and management capabilities.
- Analytical mindset with strong numeracy skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on product quality.
- Ability to perform in high-pressure environments and meet targets.
- Ability to monitor multiple processes simultaneously.
- Proactive and positive approach to work.
Preferred
- Knowledge of the macadamia, nut or seed processing industry.
- Operational production management experience in a processing plant or warehouse.
- Tertiary qualification in operations management or a relevant field.
- Minimum of five years' experience in a warehouse, production or processing management role.
