Warehouse Manager – Finished Goods
Location: Stellenbosch, Western Cape

CME Recruitment is seeking an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Manager for a well-established organisation in the beverages production and distribution industry.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for finished-goods inventory across on-site and off-site warehouse facilities. This is a senior operational role requiring strong leadership, commercial judgement and experience managing high-volume warehousing, local distribution and export order fulfilment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the annual warehouse operational plan and budget.
- Oversee finished-goods inventory, ensuring stock accuracy, traceability and security across multiple facilities.
- Manage the receiving, storage, handling, picking, loading and dispatch of finished products.
- Ensure accurate and timely fulfilment of local and export sales orders.
- Coordinate activities with Sales, Logistics, Planning, Production and Finance.
- Manage orders loaded directly from third-party production and bottling facilities.
- Improve warehouse processes, operational controls and space utilisation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality, legislative and export requirements.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, bottling partners, transporters, freight companies and logistics providers.
- Lead, develop and manage the performance of the warehouse team.
- Drive cost optimisation and continuous operational improvement.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehousing, Operations Management or Business Administration .
- Minimum of 8–10 years’ experience in warehousing, distribution or logistics operations.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a management or senior supervisory position .
- Proven experience managing finished-goods inventory in a high-volume, multi-site environment.
- Experience in the wine, beverage or broader FMCG industry is highly advantageous.
- Experience managing local and export order fulfilment.
- Good knowledge of export documentation, customs compliance and coordination with freight and logistics partners.
- Proven experience managing operational budgets and controlling costs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse best practices, inventory control and stock-management systems.
- Experience managing third-party service providers at an operational and contractual level.
- Strong leadership, people-management and conflict-resolution skills.
- A valid forklift operator’s licence will be advantageous.
