Karan Beef in Blafour is Looking for a Warehouse Manger for our Facility in Balfour in the boxed and Offal Loading Department. Duties & Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and oversee the full functionality and operation of the ULMA Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring optimal system performance and operational efficiency.
- Control and monitor the palletisation of all boxes and crates entering the warehouse, ensuring compliance with company procedures and product handling standards.
- Manage the placement, storage, and movement of all pallets within the warehouse to maximize storage capacity, maintain stock integrity, and ensure accurate stock location.
- Control the receipt, processing, and dispatch of customer orders through the warehouse management system, ensuring accurate and timeous order fulfilment.
- Perform and coordinate stock counts and stock takes as required, investigate variances, and ensure accurate inventory records are maintained.
- Administer and control user access on the ULMA system by allocating, modifying, and removing user permissions in accordance with company policies and security requirements.
- Perform additional operational and administrative duties as reasonably assigned by management.
- Report all faulty equipment, machinery, and operational defects to the Manager without delay.
- Interpret and report any ULMA system failures, technical issues, or interruptions that may impact warehouse operations to ULMA.
- Ensure the warehouse work area remains clean, organised, and compliant with housekeeping, food safety, and health and safety standards at all times.
- Ensure all warehouse employees, including Supervisors, are adequately trained and competent in their respective ULMA system functions and operational responsibilities.
- Identify training needs and provide ongoing coaching to promote continuous improvement and system compliance.
- Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and system processes are consistently followed and enforced on a daily basis.
- Promote compliance with company policies, food safety standards, quality requirements, and health and safety procedures.
- Review, verify, and sign off all relevant HACCP documentation and related food safety records.
- Complete, authorise where applicable, and submit job cards accurately and within required timeframes.
- Exercise authority to monitor system compliance, investigate operational discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Escalate operational risks, stock discrepancies, system concerns, and non-conformances to management for appropriate action.
Desired Experience & Qualification
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 minimum requirement, but preference will be given to more suitably qualified candidates.
- 10 years management experience in warehouse management within the FMCG industry.
- Candidates who have managed large teams (more than 150 employees) will receive preference.
- Strong knowledge of FMCG, cold chain and WMS systems.
- Proven leadership, people management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Must have a clean criminal record
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and ERP/WMS systems.
- Valid driver’s licence.
