The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction/building materials.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years' relevant experience in warehouse, logistics, stock control or materials coordination
- Experience within the construction, building materials or related industry is highly advantageous
- Experience with BuildSmart is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of stock control, inventory management and warehouse procedures
- Experience receiving, issuing, checking and tracking materials and stock
- Good understanding of logistics, deliveries and supplier coordination
- Strong administrative and record-keeping abilities
- Computer literate
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks
- Valid driver's licence
- Must be immediately available
- Must reside in Bloemfontein
Responsibilities
• Coordinate the day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations • Receive, inspect, record and correctly store incoming building materials and stock • Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records • Process stock movements, issues, transfers and related documentation • Coordinate the ordering, collection and delivery of materials with suppliers and transport providers • Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, shortages and discrepancies • Use BuildSmart to capture and maintain purchasing, stock and materials-related information • Conduct regular stock checks and assist with stock counts and reconciliations • Ensure materials are correctly allocated and available for projects when required • Monitor incoming and outgoing deliveries and ensure supporting documentation is maintained • Maintain an organised, safe and efficient warehouse/storeroom • Identify stock discrepancies, shortages, damages and potential stock losses • Assist with procurement and materials planning where required • Ensure warehouse and logistics activities comply with company procedures and health and safety requirements If you do not receive feedback within 5 days, please consider your application as unsuccessful. 078 619 0724
