Warehouse General Worker (Picker)
Location: JHB - Southern Suburbs (Orlando, Diepkloof, Devland, Dlamini, Mofolo, Zola, Naledi, Protea Glen, Dobsonville, and Jabavu)
Contract Type: Temporary
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and offloading goods, materials, and products.
- Pack, unpack, sort, and label products according to instructions.
- Move stock and materials to designated areas.
- Assist production and warehouse teams with daily operations.
- Conduct picking, packing, and stacking of stock where required.
- Check products for visible damage and report discrepancies.
- Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in the workplace.
- Follow health and safety procedures and wear the required PPE.
- Assist with stock counting and basic inventory control.
- Handle materials and equipment carefully to prevent damage.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and meet daily production targets.
- Report damaged goods, unsafe conditions, or equipment faults to the supervisor.
Skills and Requirements
- Matric
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime when required.
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is advantageous.
