Join our dynamic team as a Dispatch and Receiving Clerk, where you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient receiving, handling, storage, and dispatch of stock while maintaining high operational standards and supporting exceptional customer service. Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming stock and verify quantities and quality against supplier documentation.
- Ensure all received goods are accurately checked, recorded, and stored in the correct warehouse locations.
- Prepare customer orders for dispatch accurately and efficiently according to company procedures.
- Ensure all dispatch documentation is correctly completed and filed.
- Assist with loading and offloading of stock while ensuring safe handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment at all times.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with scheduled stock takes.
- Report any damaged, missing, or incorrect stock to management immediately.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, operational standards, and safety regulations.
- Work closely with the sales team and warehouse staff to ensure smooth and efficient order processing.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Proficient in both Afrikaans and English (spoken and written).
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or an equivalent qualification is essential.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, dispatch, or receiving role will be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with stock and documentation.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically fit and able to assist with loading and offloading stock.
- A proactive team player with a positive attitude.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
