Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Warehouse Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and logistics function. Reporting directly to the Warehouse / Logistics Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating stock control, receiving and dispatch activities, inventory accuracy, and communication between the warehouse, transport providers, and suppliers.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in warehouse administration and inventory control, with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced operational environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels
- Perform stock reconciliations, cycle counts, and investigate stock variances
- Coordinate goods receiving and dispatch processes
- Verify incoming and outgoing stock documentation for accuracy
- Liaise with transport providers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries and collections
- Maintain inventory accuracy through effective stock control procedures
- Assist with warehouse planning and operational scheduling
- Capture and maintain warehouse records, reports, and documentation
- Support the Warehouse / Logistics Manager with operational reporting
- Ensure compliance with warehouse procedures, health and safety standards, and company policies
- Assist with identifying and implementing process improvements
- Resolve operational issues relating to stock, deliveries, and warehouse administration
- Perform general warehouse administration duties as required
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a warehouse, logistics, inventory control, or distribution environment
- Relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehousing, Business Administration, or a related field advantageous
- Strong understanding of inventory management, stock control, receiving, and dispatch processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP systems advantageous
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
Advantageous
- Experience within warehousing, distribution, imports, or logistics environments
- Exposure to inventory reporting and stock analysis
- Experience coordinating transport and supplier deliveries
- Knowledge of warehouse best practices and operational procedures
