Warehouse Controller

Description

Are you an organised, hands-on warehouse professional with strong inventory control skills and the ability to lead a team? We’re looking for a Warehouse Controller who can take ownership of daily warehouse operations, ensure accurate stock control and keep materials flowing efficiently to production. What you’ll need:

• Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics

• Minimum 2 years’ warehousing experience

• Experience leading a warehouse team would be advantageous

• Knowledge of WMS / Syspro

• Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills

• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping abilities

• Strong organisational and multitasking skills

• Forklift licence advantageous

• Code 10 driver’s licence advantageous

• Supply Chain / Logistics qualification advantageous

• Knowledge of OHAS advantageous

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily warehouse activities

• Supervise and delegate tasks to the warehouse team

• Manage the receiving, putaway and issuing of hardware, fasteners, components and buy-outs

• Check and verify incoming goods and ensure accurate GRN processing

• Maintain accurate inventory levels and records

• Investigate and flag stock variances, delivery issues and quality/quantity discrepancies

• Coordinate returns and replacements with relevant departments and suppliers

• Ensure materials are packed and issued to production and assembly on time

• Conduct regular stock counts and manage non-moving stock

• Ensure correct stock rotation and storage using FIFO principles

• Maintain 5S standards and a safe, organised warehouse

• Train and develop team members

• Continuously improve warehouse processes and procedures

• Drive the move towards a more efficient, lean and paperless warehouse environment
