We are looking for a Warehouse Controller to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, control, and dispatch of stock, maintaining accurate inventory records, enforcing health and safety standards, and supporting business operations through effective warehouse management and stock control.
Duties & Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock integrity.
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and annual stock counts.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and prevent stock shortages or overstocking.
Receiving and Dispatch
- Coordinate the receipt of incoming material.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Ensure Goods Received Vouchers (GRVs) are accurately processed.
- Coordinate picking, packing, dispatch activities and IBT’s.
Warehouse Operations
- Ensure goods are stored safely and efficiently.
- Optimise warehouse space utilisation.
- Monitor housekeeping and cleanliness standards.
- Coordinate loading/Picking of stock and receiving of stock activities.
- Communicate stock availability across branches and operational issues.
Systems and Administration
- Capture warehouse transactions eg (Stock request) on ERP systems (e.g. SAGE/ASAMCO).
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse reports.
- Maintain accurate filing of warehouse documentation.
- Process transfer orders, returns, adjustments and IBT’s.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Management, or a related field (preferred)
Experience
- 3 years’ experience in inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Experience using ERP systems.
