Warehouse Assistant - Stormhill/Amalgam (JHB)

Introduction

We are a Wholesale and Retail company stocking a variety of homeware goods, appliances, makeup, stationary, and other accessories.

We require a Warehouse Assistant whose primary role will be to support logistics operations by receiving, picking, packing stock, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Order Fulfillment:  Picking, packing, scanning, and labeling orders for delivery.

• Stock Management:  Receiving, unloading, sorting, and organizing inventory in designated warehouse storage locations.

• Loading/Unloading:  Handling incoming and outgoing shipments, including loading and unloading delivery trucks.

• Inventory Control:  Conducting stock counts and participating in cycle counts to ensure accuracy.

• Safety & Maintenance:  Adhering to safety protocols, keeping aisles clear, operating equipment safely, and cleaning the warehouse.

• Documentation:  Updating inventory records and handling shipping documents.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Physical Stamina:  Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.

• Experience:  2-3 years experience in a warehouse or logistics environment

• Equipment Operation:  Proficiency in using, or willingness to learn, scanners, forklifts, and pallet jacks.

• Digital Literacy:  Basic computer skills for managing stock through Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

• Organization:  Good organizational skills to maintain inventory accuracy

• Clear criminal record

• Ability to work in Stormhill  (Warehouse 1) and Amalgam (Warehouse 2)

Package & Remuneration

R30,23 per hour
