Warehouse Assistant

Introduction

We are looking for proactive Warehouse Assistants who have high attention to detail and a drive for operational excellence whilst giving the customer a great shopping experience. Duties & Responsibilities

• The warehouse assistant acts as a customer liaison, customers must be greeted / acknowledged when they enter the store
• Responsible for ensuring that every scheduled delivery is checked according to customer order and correct
• Ensure that the control sheet for picking lists, GPNT’s, OBO’s and IBT is completed and signed for every
• invoice/document
• Ensure that the housekeeping standards are maintained
• Ensure that there are no problems with the stock that is dispatched
• Run the daily GPNT report and liaise with the customers regarding collection of their GPNT
• Receive and check all credits received from customers
• Ensure that the control sheets for stock issued are filed with the necessary documents for that day
• The warehouse assistant will participate and be responsible for the annual stock counts
• Responsible for packing received stock in designated areas including taps, mosaics and décor in the correct spaces and as per designated space allocations
• Make sure that all housekeeping gets done daily before leaving the store

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Must be able to speak English
• Ability to meet goals consistently with superior housekeeping skills
• Valid forklift license preferred
• The ability to work in both a team environment and individually
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• SAP and Microsoft Office knowledge
• Sound numeric skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• The minimum educational requirement is Matric
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines for dispatch tasks
• Previous exprience in a similar role would be preferrable
