A well-established company specialising in advanced drone technology and solutions, primarily focusing on the agricultural sector, is seeking the above to be responsible for the full warehouse, inventory, dispatch, and logistics function at its Pretoria Service Centre. This is a hands-on operational role responsible for managing drones, spare parts, batteries, and precision agriculture equipment from receipt through to storage, stock control, preparation, and final dispatch. The successful candidate will ensure accurate inventory visibility, reliable order fulfilment, efficient logistics processes, and a safe and well-organised warehouse environment. Duties & Responsibilities

Minimum requirements for the role

  • Must have a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in warehouse management, logistics, inventory control, spare parts, operations, or a similar environment
  • Experience working with technical equipment, machinery, electronics, agricultural equipment, or other specialised products would be advantageous
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, receiving, dispatch, stock control, and warehouse procedures
  • Proven ability to manage multiple operational functions simultaneously
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Must have experience using Salesforce, ERP, inventory management, or similar business systems
  • Strong ability to learn and adapt to new technology and software platforms
  • Proven experience working with couriers, freight forwarders, logistics providers, and customs partners
  • Experience with import and export documentation would be advantageous
  • Comfortable handling technical equipment and hazardous materials, including LiPo batteries, in accordance with safety procedures
  • Proven ability to identify and implement warehouse layout and process improvements
  • Good computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office and inventory management systems
  • Must have a valid driver's licence; A forklift licence would be advantageous
  • Fluency in English (Read, Write, Speak)
  • Experience within agriculture, drones, robotics, technology, engineering, or another fast-growing operational environment would be advantageous

The successful candidate will be responsible for

  • Managing the full warehouse inventory using Salesforce or relevant business systems, including receiving, stock counts, stock movements, and order processing.
  • Receiving, inspecting, verifying, and correctly storing incoming drones, spare parts, batteries, and precision agriculture equipment.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date stock records and investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Organising and optimising the warehouse layout, including racking, bin locations, picking areas, and storage of slow-moving stock.
  • Implementing efficient stock control procedures to maximise warehouse space, picking efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
  • Establishing and following clear procedures for releasing stock following customer payment or internal approval.
  • Ensuring all stock movements are accurately recorded and traceable.
  • Preparing and dispatching customer orders, equipment, stock, and trailers for the Sales and Technical teams.
  • Coordinating inbound and outbound shipments with couriers, freight forwarders, transport companies, and logistics partners.
  • Ensuring orders are accurately picked, packed, documented, and dispatched within required timeframes.
  • Tracking shipments from collection through to delivery and proactively addressing delays or discrepancies.
  • Coordinating import and export documentation and working with customs agents and relevant logistics partners when required.
  • Investigating missing, damaged, or delayed shipments and managing claims through to resolution.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all dispatches, deliveries, returns, and logistics-related issues.
  • Managing spare parts inventory, including stock control, invoicing, warranty tracking, disassembly, and write-offs in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate serial number records for warranty management, audits, traceability, and stock control.
  • Coordinating with the Technical team to ensure required parts and equipment are available for repairs and maintenance.
  • Assisting with preparing and checking technical equipment prior to dispatch.
  • Supporting the Technical team with equipment preparation and testing where required.
  • Ensuring returned equipment and spare parts are correctly processed, recorded, and stored.
  • Handling and storing hazardous materials, including LiPo batteries, in accordance with applicable safety procedures and company protocols.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment at all times.
  • Ensuring appropriate storage procedures are followed for drones, batteries, electronics, and other technical equipment.
  • Supporting regular stock counts, internal audits, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Ensuring warehouse processes comply with company policies and relevant safety and operational requirements.
  • Reporting damaged, missing, or unsafe equipment promptly and ensuring appropriate corrective action is taken.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve warehouse layout, stock control, dispatch processes, and operational efficiency.
  • Implementing practical improvements that increase accountability, accuracy, and turnaround times.
  • Developing and maintaining clear warehouse procedures and administrative systems.
  • Monitoring recurring inventory and logistics issues and implementing solutions to prevent them from occurring again.
  • Supporting the continued development of scalable warehouse processes as the South African operations grow.
  • Liaising closely with Sales regarding stock availability, customer orders, and delivery timelines.
  • Working with the Technical team regarding spare parts, equipment preparation, repairs, and dispatch requirements.
  • Coordinating with Finance regarding stock records, invoicing, payments, stock counts, and inventory reporting.
  • Providing regular updates on stock availability, outstanding orders, shipments, and logistics issues.
  • Ensuring effective communication across departments to minimise delays and administrative errors.
