Our Plastic Division based in Krugersdorp is in search of a competent Warehouse and Logistics Foreman to oversee the efficient operation of warehouse activities, inventory management, transportation, distribution, and logistics processes. The foreman ensures that goods are received, stored, managed, and delivered accurately, safely, and cost-effectively while maintaining high levels of customer service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following

Warehouse Management

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
  • Ensure efficient use of warehouse space and maintain an organized and clean working environment.
  • Develop and implement effective warehouse procedures and processes.
  • Ensure stock is properly labelled, stored, and handled.
  • Monitor warehouse productivity and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure all equipment and warehouse facilities are properly maintained.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock accuracy.
  • Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and physical stock takes.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, damages, losses, and variances.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure appropriate replenishment.
  • Implement controls to minimize stock losses, obsolete stock, and wastage.
  • Ensure inventory transactions are accurately captured on the relevant systems.

Logistics & Distribution

  • Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries.
  • Manage transportation schedules, routes, and delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate with transport providers, suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
  • Monitor delivery performance and resolve transportation issues.
  • Ensure orders are dispatched accurately and on time.
  • Control and monitor logistics costs.
  • Ensure that vehicle licenses are up to date.
  • Resolve issues regarding traffic fines and ensure they are settled on time.

Team Management

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate warehouse and logistics employees.
  • Allocate duties and manage staff schedules and workloads.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and training.
  • Ensure employees follow company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage disciplinary and performance-related matters in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure that warehouse staff and drivers work hours are accurate and resolve discrepancies with the wages department.
