Our client based in Edenvale is looking for a Warehouse and Disptach Team leader.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage all finished goods warehouse operations, ensuring stock accuracy and effective inventory control. (when the manager sees the stock is low in their fast-moving products he has to work with production so that they don’t wait for an order from a sales rep then there becomes and issue for the distribution side.)
Manage staff
Manage the relationship with the external company that does all their exports
Look after a fleet of trucks as well as forklifts, Ensure full optimisation of the company's fleet through effective vehicle utilisation, ensuring deliveries are executed efficiently to local customers
Plan and coordinate truck loading, dispatch schedules, and delivery routes to maximise vehicle capacity, improve service levels, and minimise transport and distribution costs.
Implement continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives across warehousing and logistics operations.
Monitor warehouse KPIs, stock movements, dispatch accuracy and service levels.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality and operational procedures.
Desired Experience & Qualification
4–5 years' Warehouse & Logistics Management experience
Finished goods warehouse experience
Manufacturing environment experience preferred
Strong stock control and inventory management skills
Dispatch, delivery planning, and fleet management experience
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Excellent communication and delegation skills
Proven cost-saving and process improvement track record
Hands-on, results-driven approach with the ability to get things done efficiently
Package & Remuneration
R340 to R360 per annum before benefits
