About the role

  • The Warehouse Administrator is responsible for providing effective administrative and operational support to the Gauteng warehouse and regional stores. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate warehouse records, supporting inventory controls, ensuring compliance with governance and health and safety requirements, and assisting with operational efficiencies across the warehouse and regional stores.
  • The Warehouse Administrator will report directly to the Senior Warehouse Administrator.

Qualifications

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
  • A certification in Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Logistics, or a related field will be advantageous.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • 1–3 years' experience in a warehouse or logistics administration role.
  • Proficient in computer literacy, including MS Excel and ERP/Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Experience with SAP Business One SAP B1 will be advantageous.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to enforce governance requirements and drive process compliance.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to take initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

What you will be doing

  • Assist with capturing, updating, and maintaining warehouse records, including purchase orders, goods receipts, issues, and returns.
  • Support the day-to-day administration of the Gauteng warehouse and assist with coordination across regional stores.
  • Maintain accurate and organised filing systems for warehouse documentation, including delivery notes, invoices, and asset registers.
  • Assist in ensuring that warehouse opening and closing procedures are followed securely and efficiently.
  • Provide administrative support for route planning and delivery/collection coordination.
  • Follow up on outstanding documentation and assist with reconciling discrepancies in inventory records.
  • Support inventory cycle counts, stock takes, and reverse logistics clean-up processes.
  • Assist in monitoring stock movements, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
  • Assist with tracking and updating fixed asset registers under the guidance of the Senior Warehouse Administrator.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy, quality, and compliance with required standards.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures within the warehouse environment.
  • Report hazards, unsafe practices, or equipment issues in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Participate in audits and inspections by preparing the required documentation and reports.
  • Liaise with internal departments and vendors to resolve queries and follow up on outstanding tasks.
  • Support communication with transport teams, clients, and store personnel to coordinate activities.
  • Provide backup administrative coverage during after-hours or weekends when operationally required.
  • Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with the applicable Warehouse Job Description.
  • Adhere to the Company's Code of Conduct, policies, procedures and operational standards.
  • Maintain professional communication when interacting with employees, clients, vendors and other stakeholders.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as required in support of effective warehouse and store operations.
