Job Description

The Waiter/Waitress will be responsible for providing excellent table service and ensuring a positive guest experience from arrival through to departure.

Duties & Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

• Greet guests at their assigned tables and ensure each guest receives a menu and wine list.

• Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items, including basic ingredients and preparation methods.

• Ensure tables are properly set with linens, silverware and glassware.

• Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system.

• Communicate orders timeously to bar and kitchen staff.

• Deliver food and beverages within specified timeframes.

• Clear used cutlery and crockery.

• Offer desserts and coffee while identifying opportunities to upsell.

• Bill guests accurately.

• Maintain a clean and hygienic restaurant environment, including fixtures and fittings.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Main Requirements

• Grade 12.

• Preferably 3 years' previous Waiter/Waitress experience in a similar environment .
