Start free — we apply for you →- Restaurant at a Wine Estate based in the Somerset West area is seeking a professional and attentive Waiter to provide excellent restaurant service and help create memorable dining experiences.
Duties
- Welcome guests and present menus and wine lists.
- Explain dishes and assist with food and beverage selections.
- Take accurate orders and capture them on the POS system.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar for timely service.
- Set, clear and reset tables.
- Respond to guest requests and communicate dietary requirements accurately.
- Prepare bills and process payments.
- Maintain clean service areas and professional presentation.
Requirements
- Previous waiter experience.
- Good food and beverage knowledge; wine knowledge would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
- Familiarity with POS systems and payment handling.
- A patient, attentive and guest-focused approach.
- Professional grooming and good teamwork.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Availability for shifts, weekends and public holidays.
