The role focuses on ensuring customer satisfaction through professional service, accurate order taking, and maintaining a clean dining environment. Key Responsibilities Customer Service Welcome and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner. Present menus and explain menu items when necessary. Take accurate food and beverage orders. Serve food and drinks according to service standards. Check on guests during meals to ensure satisfaction. Handle customer complaints politely and professionally. Food and Beverage Service Prepare tables before service. Ensure orders are delivered correctly and promptly. Clear tables and maintain cleanliness in the dining area. Assist with setting up and closing the restaurant or dining area. Cash Handling and Billing Prepare bills and process payments accurately. Handle cash, card payments, and receipts responsibly. Teamwork and Operations Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff. Assist colleagues during busy periods. Follow company service procedures and standards. Health and Safety Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards. Follow food safety and health regulations. Ensure safe handling of food and beverages. Detail: Minimum Qualifications Grade 10–12 / Matric certificate. Hospitality or food service training is advantageous. Experience Previous experience as a waiter or in customer service preferred. Entry-level candidates may receive on-the-job training. Been a waiter for a 4 or 5 star establishment Knowledge Basic food and beverage service procedures. Customer service principles.
