Duties & Responsibilities
Job Description
You will be responsible for the following
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance on heat treatment furnaces.
- Electrical fault finding.
- Mechanical maintenance.
- General plant maintenance.
- Repairs on pumps, motors, conveyors and associated factory equipment.
- Assist with continuous improvement projects.
- Standby every third week after probation.
- Work closely with experienced maintenance staff to learn the specialised furnace processes.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
- Trade Tested Millwright
Skills
- Ideally 3 years’ post-trade experience.
- Gas systems knowledge.
- PLC fault-finding.
- Pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Experience on furnaces, kilns, ovens or other thermal processing equipment.
- Supervisory or people management experience.
- Strong leadership skills with possibility of growing into a mid-management role.
Package & Remuneration
Salary/Package
R30k – R35k per month
