Start free — we apply for you →- Wine Estate based in the Somerset West area is looking for a is looking for an experienced, hands-on Vineyards Foreman to supervise vineyard teams and support effective daily farming operations.
Duties
- Allocate daily tasks and supervise vineyard workers.
- Oversee pruning, canopy management and other seasonal activities.
- Coordinate harvesting teams and monitor work quality.
- Assist with irrigation monitoring and vineyard upkeep.
- Ensure tools and equipment are used safely.
- Monitor attendance, productivity and task completion.
- Keep operational records and report progress or concerns.
- Support the farm manager with seasonal planning and team training.
Requirements
- Previous vineyard experience, including team supervision.
- Practical knowledge of vineyard maintenance and seasonal operations.
- Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills.
- Ability to plan work and monitor standards.
- A reliable, accountable and safety-conscious approach.
- Willingness to work outdoors and accommodate harvest demands.
- Ability to identify operational issues and report them promptly.
