A well-established automotive operation is looking for a hands-on Vehicle Strip & Fit Technician with practical experience in dismantling and refitting vehicle components. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail who takes pride in quality workmanship and working carefully with vehicles. Role of the Vehicle Strip & Fit Technician The successful candidate will be responsible for safely stripping and refitting vehicle components, ensuring all items are removed, handled, and reinstalled correctly without damage. The role requires someone who is practical, mechanically minded, and comfortable working as part of a busy workshop or production team. Remuneration: Market related – Depending on experience. Detail: Duties include Strip and refit vehicle interiors, trim panels, and related components. Remove and reinstall seats, carpets, and roof linings. Remove and refit doors, windows, and associated components. Strip and refit dashboards, consoles, and interior fittings. Remove and reinstall mechanical and body-mounted vehicle components. Safely and correctly use hand tools and power tools. Follow workshop procedures, instructions, drawings, and specifications. Handle vehicle components carefully to prevent damage during stripping and refitting. Maintain high standards of workmanship, accuracy, and attention to detail. Work efficiently as part of a workshop or production team. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Requirements: Previous practical experience in vehicle stripping and fitting is essential. Experience working within an automotive workshop, production, repair, conversion, or similar environment. Basic understanding of vehicle construction, components, and assembly. Competent in the safe use of hand and power tools. Able to follow technical instructions, drawings, and workshop procedures. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship. Good manual dexterity and a practical, hands-on approach. Able to work independently as well as part of a team. Reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining high work standards. Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.
