- As the Vehicle Stock Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and control of the dealership's vehicle stock. You will work closely with the Sales, Management, Finance and Logistics teams to ensure that vehicles are accurately recorded, tracked and managed throughout the stock process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all vehicle stock administration, including receiving, capturing, tracking and releasing vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of all vehicles entering and leaving the dealership.
- Ensure that vehicle stock information and documentation are accurate and up to date.
- Monitor vehicle movements, transfers, deliveries and registrations.
- Conduct regular stock reconciliations and physical vehicle stock checks.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies promptly.
- Liaise with Sales and Management regarding vehicle availability and stock status.
- Coordinate with logistics and transport providers to ensure the timely delivery and movement of vehicles.
- Ensure that all vehicle files and supporting documentation are complete and properly maintained.
- Assist with stock reporting and provide accurate information to management.
- Ensure compliance with dealership processes, policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to establishing efficient stock control processes within the new dealership.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in vehicle stock control, dealership administration, inventory management or a similar automotive role .
- Automotive dealership experience will be highly advantageous.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work effectively with Sales, Finance, Management and external service providers.
- A valid driver's licence will be advantageous.
Advantageous
- Experience with automotive dealership systems and vehicle stock management systems.
- Knowledge of vehicle invoicing, stock transfers and dealership processes.
- Previous experience working with new vehicle stock.
- A qualification in Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field.
