Bila Foods are looking for a dedicated and skilled vegetable farm manager to join the food industry.
Duties & Responsibilities
Crop Production management: Plan planting schedules, choose seasonal crop varieties and manage soil health, irrigation, fertilization and pest control.
Harvesting and Post-Harvest: Supervise harvesting operations, quality checks, sorting, packaging and safe storage of crops.
Staff Supervision: Recruit, train and manage farm employees. Set daily tasks, enforce workplace safety guidelines.
Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain tractors, irrigation systems, storage facilities, agricultural tools to prevent downtime.
Financial and Data tracking: Manage operational budgets, track expenses, record yields and analyze market trends to plan sales.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to local agricultural, environmental and health and safety laws.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Education: High school diploma for traditional roles, degree in agriculture, agronomy, or agribusiness is increasingly preffered for commercial operations.
Experience: 3-7 Years of hand-on farming/ supervisory agricultural experience depending on the scale of the estate.
Skills: Strong Knowledge of crop cycles, mechanical aptitude for farming equipment, leadership capabilities and basic finacial background.
