Introduction

Are You an Experienced Auto Electrician?

We are looking for a skilled Auto Electrician with hands-on experience working on 1-ton vans and light commercial vehicles , including vehicles such as the VW Crafter, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Ford Transit, Iveco Daily and similar vehicles.

The Role

As an Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, installation and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems on a fleet of 1-ton vans and light commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic faults on 1-ton vans and light commercial vehicles.

• Work on vehicles such as:

• VW Crafter

• Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

• Ford Transit

• Iveco Daily

• Renault Master

• Similar light commercial vehicles

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify electrical and electronic faults.

• Troubleshoot wiring, sensors, control modules and vehicle communication systems.

• Install and repair:

• Vehicle lighting

• Warning beacons

• Reverse cameras

• Tracking systems

• Tow-bar wiring

• Auxiliary electrical systems

• Batteries and charging systems

• Starters and alternators

• Carry out fault-finding on CAN bus and other vehicle communication systems.

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation.

• Perform preventative electrical maintenance.

• Ensure all repairs and installations are completed safely and to a high standard.

• Complete maintenance records and report identified faults.

Duties & Responsibilities

Requirements

• Qualified or experienced Auto Electrician .

• Minimum 3–5 years' relevant experience in automotive electrical work.

• Strong experience working specifically on vans and light commercial vehicles is essential.

• Experience with VW Crafter, Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, Iveco Daily or similar 1-ton vehicles will be highly advantageous.

• Strong diagnostic and electrical fault-finding skills.

• Experience with modern vehicle electronics and diagnostic equipment.

• Ability to read and understand vehicle wiring diagrams.

• Experience with CAN bus systems would be advantageous.

• A valid driver's licence.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
