Our reputable Italian Deli Supplier client is seeking a dedicated Van Assistant / Relief Driver to join their team based in Longmeadow, Edenvale, Gauteng .

Purpose of the job
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Van Assistant / Relief Driver to join our team. This role is suitable for someone who is organised, detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will primarily work as a Van Assistant while also acting as a Relief Driver when required.
Requirements
- Grade 12.
- Previous warehouse experience will be advantageous.
- Valid Code 10 Driver's Licence with PDP - MUST HAVE .
- Proven experience as a delivery vehicle driver.
- Minimum 3-5 years driving experience .
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Attention to detail and results-oriented.
- Willingness to assist with general warehouse and delivery duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Check, load and unload company products.
- Assist drivers with locating delivery destinations.
- Communicate professionally with clients and customers.
- Ensure accurate delivery of consignments.
- Obtain Proof of Delivery (POD) signatures from customers.
- Liaise with the warehouse and main office regarding deliveries.
- Assist with unloading delivery vehicles after each shift.
- Pick and pack customer orders when required.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain vehicle and warehouse housekeeping standards.
