Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the driver with loading and offloading goods from the delivery vehicle.
- Ensure that goods are handled carefully to prevent damage during transportation.
- Assist with deliveries and collections at designated locations.
- Verify stock and delivery quantities against invoices, delivery notes, and other relevant documentation.
- Secure goods properly in the vehicle to ensure safe transportation.
- Assist with route planning and ensure deliveries are completed on time.
- Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping inside and around the delivery vehicle.
- Perform general labouring duties, including moving, packing, sorting, and arranging stock.
- Assist with checking goods for damage and reporting any discrepancies to the driver or supervisor.
- Follow all health and safety procedures during loading, offloading, and delivery activities.
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers during deliveries.
- Follow instructions from the driver and supervisor and assist with any other reasonable duties as required.
Requirements
- Clear criminal record.
- Contactable references.
- Clear criminal and medical records or willingness to undergo required medical assessments.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
