Our large client in the Manufacturing and FMCG industry based in Hillcrest is looking for a Junior Demand Planner to join their team, to support the Demand Planning team in developing accurate demand
forecasts, analyzing sales trends, maintaining planning systems, and collaborating with commercial and supply chain teams to ensure product availability while minimizing inventory risks.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing weekly and monthly demand forecasts using historical sales data and market insights.
- Analyze sales trends, customer demand patterns, and forecast variances.
- Maintain and update demand planning systems and forecasting tools.
- Support monthly Demand Review and S&OP processes.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and bias and highlight key risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with Commercial sales, customer care, finance, and supply Chain teams to gather relevant demand inputs.
- Generate planning reports and dashboards for key stakeholders.
- Investigate forecast exceptions and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure master data is maintained accurately within planning systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Demand Planning function.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain /Business Management
- 0-2 years' experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Analytics, or FMCG environments.
- Graduate programme experience advantageous.
- Must be computer Literate.
