ABOUT US

Established in 2013, we're a premium family salon and barber offering wig & weave installation, braiding, nails & lashes, and barbering across our Musgrave and Umhlanga branches. As we enter our next phase of growth, we're looking for a Business Manager to help take the brand to its full potential.

THE ROLE

We need a hands-on Business Manager to lead the operations and finances of both branches — responsible for cash flow, staff performance, and the day-to-day decisions that keep the business running smoothly and growing. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building systems, leading a team, and seeing the direct impact of their work.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Tertiary qualification in Business Management, Finance, Retail Management or related field (a strong track record may be considered instead)

3–5 years' experience in business, operations, or senior retail/salon management

Multi-site management experience preferred

Understanding of budgeting, cash flow, and basic bookkeeping

Proficient with POS systems and MS Office/Google Workspace

Experience managing and developing a team

Able to travel between Musgrave and Umhlanga as needed (petrol subsidy provided)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage cash flow to ensure salaries, rent, and overheads are met reliably

Set and track sales targets, and support staff in reaching them

Oversee daily opening/closing procedures, stock checks, and service standards

Manage and support staff; handle performance and conduct matters constructively

Report regularly to ownership on sales, expenses, staffing, and performance

Grow Musgrave (volume/convenience) and Umhlanga (premium/destination) per their distinct strategies

Maintain client records and follow-up bookings to protect and grow the client base

Keep POS, client, and staff systems accurate and up to date

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

A hands-on, present leadership style

Strong integrity, reliability, and organisation

Good communication and a fair, supportive approach to managing people

TO APPLY

Send your CV and a short motivation letter covering

Your experience managing a business's finances and staff

A time you led an improvement or turnaround in a business
